She trained at some of New York’s finest hospitals including Columbia University Medical Center, Weill Cornell Medical Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She completed a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she was a Chief Resident and received a Distinguished Housestaff award. Pressly Medal for her outstanding achievement and service to the College, community, and the osteopathic profession. She completed her medical training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned the Student D.O. Franz received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Physical Therapy from Springfield College. She performs Prolotherapy, is amidst certification in Lyftogt Perineural Injection Treatment, and is hopeful to offer Prolozone treatments in the future.ĭr. She is working to further her skills so that she can offer additional regenerative procedures to her patients in the near future. She has a specific interest in regenerative medicine and currently performs Platelet Rich Plasma injections. With respect to procedures, she uses image-guidance (either ultrasound or fluoroscopy) to guide the medication to the target, facilitating efficacy. She believes in a comprehensive team approach to treatment, which may include physical therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, bracing, injection procedures, activity modification, nutritional supplementation, and/or medications. She’s served as a team physician for local high schools, a Medical Captain for the New York City Marathon, and Medical staff for the New York Road Runners Club. Franz has worked with patients of all ages and walks of life, from adolescents to geriatrics and non-athletes to elite competitors. She is the Co-Medical Director of our organization and currently sees patients in our Jackson, Point Pleasant, Aberdeen, and Freehold locations.įor the past 11 years, Dr. Furthermore, she specializes in non-surgical treatment of spinal dysfunction. She utilizes a non-surgical approach to treat a variety of musculoskeletal dysfunction, which includes injury to the joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons, and fascia. Stacey Franz is a fellowship-trained medical physician with board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry) with a sub-specialty certification in Sports Medicine.
